Obituary for Loretta Brandl

Loretta M. Brandl, 100, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Our House Senior Living, Wisconsin Rapids.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 20, 2021 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Milladore, where the visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time. Rev. David Bruener will officiate, and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Martens / Rembs Funeral Home, Junction City, is assisting the family.

Loretta was born on June 5, 1921 in Blenker, Wisconsin, to George and Julia (Linzmeier) Lobner, where she graduated from St. Kilian’s Parochial School. She also received her high school diploma.

She was united in marriage to Alfred M. Brandl on September 10, 1940 at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church in Blenker. He died on May 26, 2003.

The Brandl’s owned and operated Brandl’s Ballroom in Milladore for 30 years, retiring in 1987. They also farmed in Milladore and Loretta was employed at Weyerhaeuser Company in Marshfield for a number of years. Loretta enjoyed lawn work and her flowers.

She is survived by her children, Darlene Stanislawski and Diane (Richard) Schmutzer, all of Wisconsin Rapids, and Ronald (Connie Lang) Brandl of Milladore. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Michelle (Michael) Hall, Mindi (Ryan) Endres, Gail, Cathy, Chad and Connie Schmutzer, Craig Brandl and Christa (Todd) Graverson and six great grandchildren, James and Wyatt Hall, Tabitha, Elijah and Jacob Brandl and Avery Graverson.

She is further survived by a brother, George Lobner of Stevens Point.

She was predeceased by her husband, a great granddaughter, Rebekah Hall, a son-in-law, Adrian Stanislawski, sisters, Margaret Brandl, Viola Schiferl, and Raymond Lobner.
