Lorraine E. Creasey, 96, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021, at Wells Nature View Assisted Living on East 21st Street, Marshfield.
Lorraine was born on January 10, 1925, at home in Northern Nebraska, to Lloyd and Margaret (Painter) Heyden. She attended high school in Nebraska and South Dakota. She also was a graduate of Southern State Normal School in Springfield, South Dakota where she received her teaching certificate. She was united in marriage to Wendell L. Creasey on May 25, 1947, in Filer, Idaho.
Lorraine had been a school teacher and also a devoted wife and mother. She sewed many quilts and enjoyed crocheting, writing letters, and was an avid reader. After the death of her husband in 2008 she moved to Wisconsin to be near her children.
Lorraine is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Lester) Lewis of Medford, Ruth Seehafer of Menomonie, and Wendy (Paul “Buck”) Drexler of Stratford. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by siblings, Havor (Carol) Heyden, Harlan (Dorris) Heyden, and Patricia Heyden.
Lorraine will be taken back to Nebraska where services and burial will be held in June.
