Marcella R. Gliniecki, 88, Stratford, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Three Oaks Health Services, Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Stratford, with Rev. Sengole Vethanayagam officiating. Burial will take place in St. Adalbert’s Cemetery and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday at Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford, and from 10:00 am until service time on Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Stratford.
Marcella was born on December 23, 1930 in Spencer, Wisconsin, to John and Theresa (Hardinger) Fischer. She was united in marriage to Charles T. Gliniecki on August 17, 1950 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield. He died on January 18, 2009.
Marcella was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and occasional visits to the casino. She was a member of the Stratford Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She is survived by her 5 children, Kathy (Jerry) Tiedemann of Mosinee, Susan (Allen) Hannemann of Glidden, Linda (Joe) Frane of Stratford, Pam (Dave) Ehrike of Stratford and Chuck (Julie) Gliniecki of Stratford. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Kelly (Justin) Nikoli, Justin (Stephanie) Tiedemann, Joshua Tiedemann, Amy Hannemann, Tara (Derek) Clark, Laurie (Shannyn Zach) Hannemann, Kyle Frane, Micah, Krishna and Alanna Ehrike, Anthony, Chelsey and Logan Gliniecki, and 7 great grandchildren, Sutton and Sloan Tiedemann, McKenzie and Jake Zach, Zack and William Clark, and Isabella Adams. She is further survived by a brother, John (Rita) Fischer, and 4 sisters, Joann Brown, Jenny (Jim) Sternweis, all of Marshfield, Lorraine Marks of Berlin, and Betty Klawitter of Wisconsin Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Lori Gliniecki, 2 brothers, Ervin and Robert Fischer, and 4 sisters, Marie Dietrich, Rosie Rupner, Theresa Sydow and Annie Fischer.
