Marian Kraus, 85, Marshfield, passed away peacefully with her husband and family by her side at Wisconsin Veteran’s Home King, Waupaca.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 16th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield. Rev. Daniel Williams and Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. There will be a meal served at Rembs Celebration Center immediately following the burial. Rembs funeral home is assisting the family.
A visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, August 15th at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield and from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church on Tuesday. A Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be held at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
Marian was born on December 29, 1936 in Marshfield to Wilford and Etta (Traux) Martin. Shortly after graduating from Marshfield Senior High, She married Adolph O. Kraus at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Marshfield, WI on September 20, 1955.
Marian had many hobbies, she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart Christian Mothers (PCCW) and president for many years. She also enjoyed square dancing and polka music.
She is survived by her husband Adolph, her sons Ron (Patty) Kraus, Ken (Kathy) Kraus, Andy (Karen) Kraus, her Daughters Delores (Dilly) and Terry Ingle, Bette (Gerard) Delsarte, Diane (Marvin) Bauer and Karen (Josh) Kraus. Nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister Pat Garbisch and Brothers-in-law Wally Garbisch, Donald Kraus and Otto (Vicki) Kraus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers James and Vernal Martin. Son-in-law Gerard Delsarte, brother-in-law Al Kraus, and sisters-in-law Agnes Kraus and Margie Kraus.
