On Thursday, December 15, Marion “Molly” Hartnett (nee Kaas), beloved mother, passed away quietly at the Aurora at Home Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin at the age of 91.

She was born January 7, 1931, in Bakerville, Wisconsin. The death of her mother at age 3 and hospitalization of her father meant she and her siblings were scattered and spent much of their childhood apart. Despite this, she had a close and loving family.

Marion graduated from Marshfield Senior High School. She married Glen Hartnett of Klondike Corners on June 17, 1950; they celebrated 62 years of marriage before Glen’s passing. Marion and Glen were active members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed Sunday drives with Glen, gardening, traveling, and card playing with friends. Marion lived in Marshfield until the age of 88. She spent her last years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Marion was also a gifted seamstress and used these skills at work and leisure. She was a volunteer at and served on the Board of the Senior Craft Shoppe in Marshfield for many years. She was best known for her Raggedy Ann dolls and created over 500 dolls in her lifetime.

She is survived by her children Randy (Sherry Thistle), Cynthia Lemberg, Tammy (Steve) Cuthbertson, and Laura (Dean) Weiner. She was a proud and loving grandmother of 10, great-grandmother of 17, and great-great-grandmother of two.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Kevin David, husband, Glen Dale, son Gary Paul, son-in-law Charles Lemberg, her parents, Laura (Diers) and Roman Kaas and her siblings: Andrella (Moore), Jerome, Geneva (Kolstad), Josephine (Johnson), Elmer, Clarence, and Laura (Niehaus).

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield, Wisconsin on Saturday, April 22, 2023 where visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time. A private family internment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be directed to the Marshfield Wisconsin Zoo Society or Tree of Angels for Zilber Family Hospice (www.advocateaurorahealth.org).
