Mary was born on August 24, 1932, in West Allis, WI, the youngest daughter in a family of eight children. She met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) White, in 1955 in West Allis and they were married on May 25, 1957. There she began working at the Marshfield Clinic in 1973 as an administrative secretary and enjoyed a 25-year career there until her retirement in 1997. Mary and Bob had many happy and fulfilling years together after her retirement, spending time with their children and grandchildren and traveling throughout the United States. She especially enjoyed gardening, socializing with friends, and volunteering at the Marshfield Ronald McDonald House. Mary loved telling stories about her large family, always delivered with her quick wit and sharp sense of humor.
