Mary M. Beyer, age 96, of Marshfield, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at her home at Well’s Nature View.

Visitation will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 17th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm with a Mass of Christian Burial starting at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dan Thelen officiating. Burial will take place in the Gate of Heaven cemetery. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mary was born on May 11, 1926, in Marshfield to Frank & Rose (Albrecht) Specht. She attended St. John’s Grade School and graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1944. Prior to her marriage she worked as an accountant for Hughes Brothers Service and then as an audit manager at Sears.

On June 17, 1961, she was united in marriage to Heinz Beyer at St. John’s Catholic Church in Marshfield. After her family was grown, she worked part time first for Associated Attorneys and later Zappen, Meissner & Wittman Law Firm. For past time she enjoyed bowling, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and camping. For 17 years she & her husband spent their winters in Yuma, AZ. Her husband passed away on June 28, 2017.

She is survived by her children; Carol (Randy Weigel) Beyer of Marshfield; Susan (Leonard) Horban of Pittsville; Mary (Mike Lindquist) Bunge of Marshfield; David Beyer of Marshfield; and Gerald (Amy) Beyer of Merrill. She is further survived by grandchildren: Matthew, Nathan, Haley, and Hannah Beyer, Kimberly (Bennett) Casper, Makayla and Noah Bunge; great grandson Jayden Casper; brother Norbert (Rosella) Specht of Marshfield; and sister-in-law Lucille Specht of Hot Springs, AR.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Harold, Raymond, J. Kenneth Specht, sisters Irene Specht & Catherine Konig, son-in-law Timothy Ledden and one grandson, Justin Beyer.
