Maxine Feind of Marshfield passed away on September 24, 2018 in the presence of family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Keith Kitzhaber officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. The visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Sunday at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, and from 10:00 am until service time on Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She was born March 13, 1929 to Steve and Johanna (Weissenbeck) Weigel. Maxine attended St. John’s elementary school and graduated from Marshfield Senior High in 1947. She worked at Weinbrenner Shoe as an accounting clerk and at Singer Sewing as a dressmaking instructor. In 1958, she married Orland Feind and worked as self-employed seamstress specializing in draperies and window coverings. She continued working that business until 2012.
Maxine enjoyed her sewing, learning and interpreting local history, religious study, walking, and time with family and friends. She was active with the Sacred Heart choir and Christian Mothers, the Marshfield Business and Professional Women’s Club, the Golden Squares, and the North Wood County Historical Society.
Maxine is survived by sons Kurt, Karl (Martha Ulrich), Kevin (Lori Schutz), Keith (Stephanie Palecek); grandchildren Eric Feind, Nicole Feind, Katie Feind, Blake Feind, Grant Feind, and Gabi Feind; great grandson Kingston Kasimirowicz; sisters Rita Bauer and Beatrice (Tony) Statz; six nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Orland, daughter Christine, daughter-in-law Debbie (Steckbauer) Feind, sister Sr. Joan Weigel, and niece Delores (Borosch) Margraf.
