Mildred A. Weidman, 101, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Wells Nature View Assisted Living, Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mildred was born on March 19, 1920, in Marshfield, to George and Mary (Eckes) Nelson. She attended Ebbe School in the Town of Lincoln and Sacred Heart Parochial School in Marshfield. She was united in marriage to Arnold B. Weidman on October 14, 1940 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield. He died on June 29, 1993.
Mildred had been employed at the Spot Café and Weinbrenner Shoe Factory, both in Marshfield. She will be remembered most as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was always a giving person and loved helping others.
She is survived by her five children, Duke (Beverly) Weidman of Wisconsin Rapids, James (Shari) Weidman of Winter, John (Lin Hahn) Weidman of Marshfield, Sue (Dan) Tritz of Vesper and Lois (Jay) Albrecht of Marshfield. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, Cindy (Dan) Garski, Chris (Laura) Weidman, Cheri (Jeff) Powell, Jay (Peggy) Weidman, Michael (Melissa) Weidman, Leslie (Shane) Benitz, Aaron Weidman, Ryan – deceased (Krista Krug), Nathan (Krissy) Weidman, Amy Schwanz, Chad Weidman, Jenny (Stan) Luberda, Jared (Jenny) Tritz, Justin Tritz, Travis (Jessica) Tritz, Kevin (Christina) Tritz, Nolan Albrecht, Ben (Ashley) Albrecht, and Sam Albrecht, one step-grandchild, Izaac Behrens and 33 great-grandchildren, Casey (Kyle) Nic, Zach, Kenzie, Cade, Kari, Kirk, Trevor (Kaylee) Brady, Emily, Andrea, Max, Cale, Kyra, Sawyer, Tyla, Ben, Wil, Gabriel, Kaylee, Mia, Kailar, Aspen, Mason, Gavin, Teegan, Kiptyn, Atelyn, Joslin, Kasten, Declan, Ava and Benson and one step great-granddaughter, Arietta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, grandsons, Ryan Weidman, Dan Garski, and Nolan Albrecht, daughter-in-law, Marge, brothers, Norman Nelson and LaVerne Nelson, and sister-in-law Sylvia Nelson.
