Neil John Hannemann was called to eternal rest, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at the home of his sister, Brenda, in the Town of Cleveland in Marathon County. He was one day shy of his 59th birthday.
Neil was born on March 29, 1962, in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Frederick and Gertrude (Busche) Hannemann. He lived most of his adult life in Arizona, working in the carpentry trade. Neil loved the warm climate but returned to Stratford to be with family in his last months of life.
He is survived by his siblings, Karen (Richard) Chrouser of Stratford; Brenda (Robert) Fisher of Stratford; Janice (Micheal) Neumann of Spencer; Allen (Susan) Hannemann of Glidden; Wayne Hannemann of Glidden; Earl Hannemann of Stratford; and his special friend Kim Weihmuller.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He will be laid to rest at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
“Goodbyes are not forever
Goodbyes are not the end
They simply mean we’ll miss you
Until we meet again”
Rest in Peace, Bro.
