Randy G. Lenz, 59, better known by all as Bear, died on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at his home.
Randy was born December 5, 1962 in Marshfield to Jerald and Laura Lenz. He was the fifth of eight children. Randy attended Marshfield Public Schools and in 1994 earned his GED.
As a child he loved anything with motors and anything dangerous. He built many sets of high, unstable stilts for his siblings, made go-karts out of junk, and pretty much tinkered with anything he could get his hands on.
He spent the better part of his adult life as a gifted, over-the-road truck driver. He drove many years for Hub City Foods, and they never hesitated to give him challenging routes. He went on to drive for several businesses around the Marshfield area.
He is survived by his mother, Laura, brothers: Dennis (Amy) Lenz, and Dean (Jackie) Lenz; sisters: Debbie (Rich) Collins; Laurie (John) Larson; Lisa (Gene) Hood; Tammy (Dan) Bjork, and many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews. At a family gathering you could always find Bear entertaining the young ones. He was predeceased by his father, Jerald and brother Daryl, as well as his grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
If you know someone battling alcoholism, please encourage them to get help. Losing someone dear is just too hard and it’s preventable. Rest in peace dear brother Bear.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield.
