Rhea Mae Vogel, 94, Marshfield, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Marshfield with Rev. Dan Thelen officiating. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield and serving as pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Rachelle Erbst, Carissa Osness, Erin Fredrick, Ariel Quinones, Marah Bodendorfer, Morgann Tysver, and Sydney Keehner.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 18 at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and from 9:30 am until service time at church on Wednesday.

Rhea Mae was born on March 26, 1929 in Marshfield to Labrecht and Hazel (Schallock) Doehr.  She graduated from Stratford High School in 1947. She married Frank J. Vogel on July 3, 1948 at St. John’s Catholic Church. He passed away on February 9, 2012.

Rhea Mae enjoyed cooking – putting on big Sunday meals, baking bread, taking care of her vegetable garden, canning, listening to big band music, and dancing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was also a member of St. John’s PCCW.

She is survived by her children, Rhonda Hasenfang, Robert (Joyce) Vogel, Frank (Kathy Beck) Vogel, Paula (Max) Navarro, Patrice (James) Hasenfang, Christine (Steven) Tysver, Kimberly (Richard) Keehner and Suellyn (Dennis) Wojcik, and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Vogel. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, Josh Hasenfang, Rachelle (Gary) Erbst, Carissa (Jeff) Osness, Andrew Vogel, Erin (Chad) Fredrick, Matthew (Janelle) Vogel, Hunter (Sarah) Navarro, Jamie Navarro (Sean), Lucas Hasenfang, Jason Hasenfang (Randi), Ariel (Angel) Quinones, Marah (Tyler) Bodendorfer, Morgann Tysver (Matt), Brice Murray, Michael Murray, Sydney Keehner, Utah Keehner, and by nineteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Ellen and Eleanore “Toots”, husband, Frank, son, James Vogel, sons-in-law, James Murray and Galen Hasenfang, and grandson, Jacob Navarro.

The family would like to thank the 4th floor staff at Marshfield Medical Center and Compassus Hospice for taking such good care of our mother.
