Robert L. Foltz, 90, Marshfield, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Wells Nature View on Adams Street surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield with visitation from 9:30 am until service time. Rev. Chris Schwanz will officiate. Burial will follow at Brooklawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in the Town of Richfield, Wood County. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Robert was born on January 4, 1933 in Riplinger to Ben and Gertrude (Skibbe) Foltz. He graduated from Marshfield Senior High. Robert was united in marriage to Geraldine Ott on June 9, 1956 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield. He worked as an office manager for the Marshfield Water and Light Department.
Robert enjoyed painting, camping, trips to Door County, deer hunting, playing cards, working in the yard, gardening, and spending time with family. He also loved talking on the phone, writing letters, and storytelling. He was active in the church and volunteered with many different groups.
Robert is lovingly survived by his wife, Geraldine, sons, Bradley (Ann) Foltz of Eagle River, Brian (Victoria) Foltz of Marshfield, and Todd (Mary) Foltz of Stevens Point, 5 grandchildren, ReAnnin (Kiel) DesJarlais, Owen Foltz, Taylor Harty, Robert (Jaymi) Foltz, and Elliott Foltz, and 2 great grandchildren, Kashdyn DesJarlais and Keinzley DesJarlais. He is further survived by sisters, Margie (Chuck) Covi of Wisconsin Rapids and Donna Bluhm of Marshfield, sister-in-law, Burga Foltz of Appleton, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Gertrude Foltz, brother, Benjamin Foltz, and brother-in-law, Herb Bluhm.
