Robert M. Ley, 72, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, with his daughter Robin and significant other Ginger by his side at House of the Dove, Marshfield.

Robert was born on December 17, 1948, in Marshfield, to Charles and Mary (Boylan) Ley. He was a graduate of Columbus High School where he was a two-time state wrestling champion in 1966 and 1967.

In his younger years, Bob loved to play and coach baseball. In 1991, he had the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. Bob liked to spend his time out on his boat fishing, bowling with his family in a league, watching sports, and a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan. Go Pack Go!

Bob is survived by his children, Michael Ley, Robin Ley, and Rachel Ley and his grandchildren, Abby, Mikey, and Maddie, significant other Ginger Witt and siblings David (Michele) Ley, George (Mary) Ley, Patrick (Roberta) Ley, and Barbara (Kurt) Angell, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary Louise Ewing.

A private family celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.
