Ronald G. Brock of Junction City passed away peacefully on Saturday October 12th.

A celebration of life for Ron will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with the Rev. Timothy Roser officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Ron was born on June 12, 1944 to Walter and Hilda Brock. He worked hard his entire life, starting at a young age in his father’s feed mill and then later taking over the farm implement business his Dad owned in Milladore and then relocated to Auburndale. In later years he drove petroleum truck until his retirement. Dad liked to be busy and could be found daily in his shop fixing, building or refurbishing something. He loved making old equipment like new or creating something new from old.

He had an exceptional memory and enjoyed reading and history. He was a great resource person and loved to sit and talk, sharing his knowledge on every topic. He was always willing to help with anything his family and friends needed assistance with. In the community he enjoyed delivering meals on wheels during the holidays, helping when the Junction City Ice Company cut ice, organizing Santa in the park, helping at church, assisting with the USSA disability turkey hunt and helping at the local pumpkin patch. He designed and built a pumpkin seed planter and a people hauler to be pulled behind a tractor to make it easier for the children and elderly.

Dad lived a full life. He was a self-taught drummer and started playing with bands as a teen. He played with many but was a member of the Powerhouse 4. Polka music was always playing on Sunday mornings. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching or going to races, playing cards, going for drives in the country or just visiting and having a drink or two. He loved and rarely missed any event his grandchildren participated in. He was very proud of every one of them.

Dad did not want any tears shed when he passed, he wanted us to remember all the good times. He was a kind and caring man and his love for you was always known. There was always a hug and “I love you” Knowing he will no longer be in pain and is in heaven with family and friends gives us peace.

He is survived by his wife Jane (Walters) of 60 years, daughter Pamela (Rick) Rollins, son Ronald (Carrie), grandchildren Tyler (Regan) Rollins, Ryan (Haley Goldberg) Brock, Nathan (Jaden Stenstrup) Brock and Catherine Brock, great granddaughter Cecilia, brother Walter, sister in-law Shirley KlamorowskI and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents and brother Larry in infancy, In-law John and Elizabeth Walters, sister in-law Jean Westphal, brother in-laws Roy Walters, Art Mueller and Ray KlamorowskI.
