Russell P. David, age 88, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2024, at the Marshfield Medical Complex.
A visitation for friends and family will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 10 AM until 12 PM at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield where full military honors will be performed by American Legion Post 54. A private burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Russell was born on September 30, 1935, in Marshfield, to Louis and Pearl (Bates) David. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1953. He then joined the Army until his honorable discharge in 1964.
He married Barbara (Stark) on January 19, 1957 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 20, 2007. She passed away in 2013.
Russell owned his own business, David Building Supply.
Russell is survived by his children Dennis (Theresa) David of Adams WI, John (Gabriela Soberanis) David of Appleton, WI. He is further survived by his grandchildren Hannah (Steven) Nawrot of Adams, WI, Arran David of Adams, WI, and James David of Adams, WI. His brother Guy (Bonnie) David of Green Valley, AZ, his nephew Gary (Patti) David of Marshfield and Gail (Daniel) Drexler of Hudson, WI.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his brothers Duane David, Glenn David, and Dale David.
