Ryan W. Graf, age 46, Arpin, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in Vesper.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time.
Ryan was born on June 29, 1977, in Wisconsin Rapids to Harold, Jr. “Stub” and Anna (Wheelock) Graf.
Ryan attended elementary and high school in Madison, WI and earned college credits through Mid-State Technical college. While he attended high school his love of music blossomed. He played guitar and drums. He played with a heavy metal band and entertained others at the slightest request. This love of music, playing the drums and the guitar continued throughout his life.
Ryan had four children that he loved endlessly. Sometimes parenting was a struggle for him, but his love endured. Ryan also maintained a close relationship with his sisters and their husbands, his nieces and nephews (25 of them), always the joker, a ready playmate and a music instructor. He loved skateboarding, riding motorcycle and being surrounded by his family.
Over the years, Ryan worked in various positions, both professionally and in manual labor. Recently he worked side-by-side with his brother-in-law, Nick, in home construction.
He seemed to make friends wherever he went. Ryan’s ability to love and care for others was infectious. He was always inviting friends to all family gatherings, not wanting anyone to be alone on holidays.
Ryan also struggled with addiction. Through periods of sobriety, he mentored others trying to encourage a life of abstinence for them. Unfortunately, Ryan lost the battle with addiction, and it took his life.
He is survived by his children, Jakeb Graf, Arkaya Graf, Zane Graf, and Zoey Graf. He is also survived by his mother, Anna Wheelock of Wisconsin Rapids, his father Harold Graf, Jr. of Arpin, his sisters, Heather (Nick) Binder of Arpin and Heidi (Jay) Dietzler of Wausau and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his biological father, his maternal and paternal grandparents and his older brother, Troy Graf.
