Sandie was born November 29, 1942, to Robert and Shirley (Hasselberger) Arndt in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She married John (Jack) Lehnherr on September 29, 1962. They enjoyed camping in the early years of their marriage, and soon bought a cabin in Phillips, Wisconsin, that they enjoyed renovating and expanding to host family and friends. Snowmobiling in winter and long summer weekends were favorite activities there. After Jack’s retirement, they spent longer periods of their winters in Florida.
Sandie took great pride in working at the Marshfield Clinic as a young adult. She was a born caregiver, effortlessly forming connections with those around her of all ages. She demonstrated this same warm spirit as she and Jack worked tirelessly as private landlords in Marshfield. Her genuine compassion and caring nature touched the lives of friends, neighbors, and anyone fortunate enough to cross her path.
Sandie found immeasurable joy in the role of mother and grandmother, as well as doting on her nieces and nephews with affection, creating treasured moments that will be forever cherished. She extended her parent’s heart to many children outside her family circle as well.
Sandie’s kindness as well as her favorite stories of loved ones will continue to be shared by friends and family for many years. Beyond being keeper of the family history, she had a passion for gardening, genealogy, decorating, and house design.
She is survived by her husband John (Jack), son Daniel, daughter Lisa (Eric) Hansen, granddaughter Victoria Hansen, sister Barbara (Veral) Campbell, brother Greg Arndt, nieces Shawna (Jeremy) Gass and Gia (Derek) Sutermeister, and their beloved children.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Fred and Mary Lehnherr, her brother-in-law Robert Lehnherr, her sisters-in-law Beverly (Dick) Olson and Lois (Floyd) Nikolai, and her grandson Alexander James Hansen.
