SHELLEY H. DOMINE, longtime resident of Loyal, WI, was peacefully guided into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 shortly after being read Psalm 91 surrounded by family.

She was born to Roy F. and Helen D. (Smazal) Hartl on October 18, 1956 in Marshfield, WI. Shelley lived with her parents in Unity, WI on her Grandpa Louie’s farm for two years. Her family then moved into Loyal where she was raised and received her education, graduating from Loyal High School in 1974. After high school, Shelley enrolled at Mid-State Technical College in Marshfield where she earned her CNA degree.

She married the love of her life, Randy Domine, on November 24, 1979 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Shelley worked at Norwood Health Center in Marshfield for 40 years, retiring in 2014. During her career there, her patients adored her because she treated them like family. They resided in Loyal until moving to the Township of McMillan, rural Marshfield, in 2020.

Shelley had an amazing zest for life with a big sense of humor, many hilarious one-liners, and had an infectious laugh. She had an array of hobbies which include: reading the Bible, praying, spending time with family & friends, watching grandkids play sports, laughing, concerts, dancing, planting flowers, gardening, enjoying home cooked meals, cleaning, solving mysteries, hour-long walks, bike riding, motorcycling, & the list of hobbies goes on…

She had a gift for knowing exactly what to say to people going through hard times, regardless of the topic – sending the right card with the right words at the right time. She enjoyed being a caring voice to people going through rough times.

Shelley was preceded into eternal life by her son: Dustin Domine (age 5 in 1985), daughter: Holly Domine (age 10 months in 1990), parents: Roy and Helen Hartl, in-laws: Ronnie and Shirley Domine, as well as many friends and family members.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Randy Domine; daughters: Shawna (Max) Gillette and Megan (Tyler) Jasurda; granddaughters, Ava and Reese Gillette; and her sister, Jody (Kerry) Smith.

Funeral services will be held 11am on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Fr. Emmanuel Famiyeh will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Kaleb Miller, Kerry Smith, Kevin Domine, Todd Schoonover, Max Gillette & Tyler Jasurda. Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 9am until time of service.

Romans 14:8
If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
