The heavens over Hume Avenue opened to receive Stacey Lynn (nee Skattebo) Haigh, age 43, of Marshfield on Thursday, November 30, 2023.
A memorial service will be held at Rembs Funeral Home at 3pm on Friday, December 8 with Reverend Mark Krueger officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
Stacey was born to Keith and Bonnie (Vollert) Skattebo in Marshfield December 20, 1979. Stacey married the love of her life and guardian angel, Cory Haigh, on September 2, 2006. Cory enhanced her life as no one could imagine. We love you Cory. Cory was a blessing not only to Stacey, but to the entire Skattebo family.
Stacey was born with an infectious smile and loved life and people. Though her life was short, Stacey lived it as best as she could, brought joy to most she met, and always left a memory. Her younger years were enjoyed up north at her parents’ retirement farm near Ashland. There, she drove tractors, 4-wheelers, and snow machines. Stacey was fond of the campfires and the nearby woods. One of her greatest joys was crushing cans with a real road-grader!
She took delight in family gatherings, reunions, and birthdays. Stacey especially enjoyed the Red Clay Classic for many years until her mobility no longer allowed her to participate. She loved her nieces and nephews, and rarely missed a birthday. Her special talent was following their participation in sports, watching them closely online and reporting scores to all the family.
Stacey is dearly missed by her husband Cory; parents Keith & Bonnie Skattebo of Ashland; her beloved dog Sadie; siblings Paul (Amy) Skattebo of Shell Lake, Dawn (Todd) Schoenherr of Stratford, Ryan Skattebo of Chippewa Falls, and Travis (Tara) Skattebo of Cadott. She is further survived by her parents-in-law Richard & Rosemary Haigh, siblings-in-law Kirk (Mary) Haigh and Kristy (Jerry) Lang, as well as numerous Nieces & Nephews that she absolutely loved.
Stacey was preceded in death by her grandparents, her aunts Sharon Vincent, Connie Carolfi, and uncle Billy Vollert.
Until we meet in heaven, we will love you always.
