Suzanne "Maude" Carolfi

Suzanne “Maude” Carolfi, 72, Marshfield, passed away peacefully at Wells Nature View on 21st Street surrounded by her family on April 3, 2021, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Rozellville, with Reverend Sengole Vethanayagam officiating.  Music will be provided by Bucky Drexler, Margie Austin, and the St. Andrew’s Folk Choir. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A visitation will take place from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, April 9 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, and from 10:00 am until the time of service on Saturday at the church.

Suzanne was born on April 30, 1948, in Iowa to Raymond and Aurelia (Flynn) Boge.

She was united in marriage to Anton “Sam” Carolfi Jr. on August 4, 1984, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Marshfield. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2002. Suzanne worked as a Laboratory Technician at Marshfield Clinic for 50 years before retiring in 2017.

Suzanne enjoyed gardening, birds, shopping, and making bread for everyone. She also enjoyed eating with friends, breakfast with the girls, and spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors.

She was sassy, had the biggest heart, and an unforgettable personality. She was very direct and would tell you like it is, but once you got to know her, you couldn’t help but fall in love.

She is survived by her son Jared (Chelsea) Carolfi of Auburndale, brother, Jim (Susy) Boge, sisters-in-law, Pat Boge, Karen (Myron) Schiferl, Valerie (Jerry) Nikolay, Barb (Lenny) Green, Juline (Chuck) Heiting, Charmaine (Mel) Matti, Carol (Bill) Griesbach, Diane (Tom) Lang, Renee (Mike) Stafford and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, husband, brothers Jerry and Gene, and sisters Jeanette “Sissy,” Kathy (Ken), and Patsy.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Wells Nature View on 21st Street and St. Croix Hospice for their wonderful care.
