Obituary for Tara Stack

Tara J. Stack, 50, of the Town of Frankfort, passed away in her sleep on Monday, October 7, 2024, at her home.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14th, officiated by Reverend Michael Mathey, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (High Steeple) in the Town of Wien, with a morning visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in the Town of Eau Pleine.

Tara was born on October 31, 1973, in Marshfield, WI, to Gerald and Donna (Reiche) Egner. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1991. Soon after, she began dating Michael A. Schara. They were married on September 25, 1993, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshfield. They resided in Rozellville, where they raised their two children. In June of 2017, Michael unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack.

Tara enjoyed her years working at Masonite, Stratford Sign Co., and Aspirus Home Health, but her true passion was working on the farm, nurturing all life.

Tara later met Todd Stack and his four children. They joined their two families together and were married on July 27, 2019, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Wien.

Tara enjoyed working with wood, whether it was fixing a door or creating an artistic sign. She filled the holidays with special moments for her family and friends through her tasty meals and fun games. She made it her personal mission to ensure that everyone was smiling and happy wherever she went. Although she was passionate about the world around her, she always found time for her family, whom she loved the most.

Tara is survived by her husband, Todd; her children, Michael James Schara of Unity, Kara Anne (Jeremiah) Apsey of Rozellville, Merissa (Dylan) Kraus of Stratford, Megan (John Richardson) Stack of Rudolph, Brenda (Jack Zimmermann) Stack of Stratford, and Amanda Stack of Stratford; her siblings, Jeremy (Lori Lenz) Egner, Todd (Katrina) Egner, Raun (Shannon) Egner, Aaron (Ilesia) Egner, Garth (Brandon Davis) Egner, Shanti Egner, and Geri Egner; parents-in-law, Jerome and Mary Stack; and brothers-in-law, Jason (Christy) Stack and Chad Stack.

She is further survived by her father, Gerald Egner; former mother-in-law, Irene Manecke; Jared (Tiffiny) Schara; Warren (Amy) Manecke; Tony Manecke; and many more family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Egner; her first husband, Michael Schara; and her former father-in-law, Rodell Manecke.

She will be forever remembered by her friends and family for her warm hugs and bare feet.
