Thomas A. Hagen, 82, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 with his beloved wife Ann of 55 years by his side at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Proctor, MN.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. Rev. Andrew Belt will officiate. A visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday and from 1:00 pm on Thursday until service time, all at Rembs Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joachim Cemetery, Pittsville, at a later date.
Thomas Arthur Hagen was born on July 9, 1939 in Wisconsin Rapids, to Roy and Verna (Steinbach) Hagen and was a 1957 graduate of Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids. He was employed at Preway in Wisconsin Rapids before earning his teaching certificate from Stevens Point Teachers College. He was a seventh grade teacher in Almond, WI for five years. He married Ann Lee Behselich on November 26, 1966. They moved to Marshfield in 1968 where he worked at J.C. Penny’s. In 1972 he became employed for the City of Marshfield for 30 years until his retirement. He then volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield.
He is survived by his wife, Ann, and their two daughters, Julie Ann (Mike) Kortum and Jacqueline Marie (Tracy) Pooler. He is also survived by grandchildren, Cheyenne Laura, Matthew Thomas and Isaac Harry. He is further survived by sisters Virginia (David) Palus and Mary (Bernard) Halkowski and brothers, Howard, Joe, Rollie and Ronnie (Laura) Hagen and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Genevieve at birth, Shirley Krummel and Mavis Bagby, brothers, Vernon and Lee Hagen, sisters-in-law, Janice Hagen, Carolyn Hegen, and brothers-in-law, Bob Bagby and Bob Krummel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield or the neonatal unit at Marshfield Medical Center (formerly St. Joseph’s Hospital) in Marshfield.
