William F. “Bill” Zygarlicke, 82, Marshfield, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Marshfield Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Hewitt where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am until service time. Rev. Murali Anand Rayappan will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery where military rites will be held.
William was born on August 2, 1938 in the Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County, to Myron and Nettie (Gliniecki) Zygarlicke. Bill was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving from September 1961 until his honorable discharge from the Reserves in September 1967. He married Lois A. Weber on April 29, 1967, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Auburndale. He had been employed in construction and farmed on the family homestead in the Town of McMillan, Marathon County.
Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lois, and their children, Laurie Zygarlicke of Marshfield and Jeff (Pam Somers) Zygarlicke of Custer. He is also survived by grandchildren, Mike, Stacey and Amanda Zygarlicke, Kristin Cuff and Michael Somers, and eight great-grandchildren. He is further survived by brothers and sisters, Myron (Donna) Zygarlicke, Eugene (Marge) Zygarlicke, Wanda (Eugene) Hamus, Mary Ann Poplawski, Peter (Mary Carol) Zygarlicke, Tom (Joan) Zygarlicke, Bonnie (Jerome) Bauer, and Jim (Sandy) Zygarlicke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister-in-law Jerry (Nancy) Zygarlicke, and a brother-in-law Ted Poplawski.
