OnFocus Abbotsford Falcons Track and Field Season Preview
I think track is pretty obvious sometimes in the talent you have returning if you have times or distances.
We hope that Marcus Bohl, and our girls relays both perform at a high level to return to state but I’d watch out for Sommer Brodhagen in Discus and Sydney Falteisek in hurdles to push to get to Lacrosse as well.
Our boys team is really young, with only four upper classmen. With boys the process of maturity in their bodies doesn’t take place as early as girls so we hope they stick with the sport and we could be a really good team in a few years. We do have a few dual sport kids that can participate once in a while, including Evan Reis and JV castillo in sprints as well as Preston Belanger in Distance running.
Our Conference, Regional and Sectional are all similar this year and all ultra competitive all around.
The goal is to get the kids to believe in improvements and be willing to take open minded intelligent risks to do difficult things and try new things!
