OnFocus Athlete of the Week, April 9 to April 15
- Brett Simonsen, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln – The Raiders are off to a hot start, and Simonsen has been on fire. The senior struck out 12 in five innings of work, giving up 1 hit, and was impressive at the plate. Simonsen was 5X10 with eight runs, three triples, 8 runs scored, 9 RBI, 5 stolen bases, and walked five times. Wisconsin Rapids is off to a 7-0 start this season.
- Rhonnie Jo Scheithauer, Rib Lake Softball (nominated online) – Scheithauer is off to a hot start at the plate for Rib Lake, 8X16 with 7 runs scored for the 7-1 Redmen this season.
- Haylee Zawislan, Pittsville Softball – Zawislan collected a double, triple and a grand slam home run for the Panthers in their 15-3 drubbing of Nekoosa.
- Martha Miller, Medford Softball – Miller threw a no-hitter in Medford’s 16-0 win over Tomahawk. Medford is off to a 10-0 start this season.
- Michaela Dick, Marshfield Girls Track and Field – Michaela took the title in the 400 m dash and was a member of the winning entry for Marshfield in the 4X400 m relay at the WVC Indoor Track Meet. The Tigers claimed their first WVC Indoor Track Meet Championship in school history.
