OnFocus Athlete of the Week, November 10 – November 22

• • Celia Francis, Rhinelander Girls Swimming – Francis picked up multiple pieces of hardware at the WIAA Girls State Swimming and Diving Championships, earning first place in the 200 IM, second in the 100 backstroke.
  • Mason Gay, Owen-Withee Football – Gay concluded the season with a bang, rushing for 321 yards on 29 carries and six touchdowns as the Blackhawks took the 8-Player State Championship, 50-36 over Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas.
  • Klare Pilger, Stevens Point Girls Swimming – Pilger took third place at the WIAA Division Girls Swimming Championships, in the 200 IM and then claimed another third place finish in the 100 backstroke.
  • Jack Tubbs, Stratford Football – Tubbs was a perfect 5 of 5 for the Tigers, including a second quarter touchdown toss and rushed for a touchdown as the Tigers earned a three-peat, claiming a 21-6 win over Wrightstown in the WIAA Division 5 State Title Game on Thursday.
  • Olivia Mickle, Lakeland Girls Swimming – Mickle took fifth in the 200 IM and sixth in the 100 backstroke at the WIAA Division 2 Girls Swimming and Diving Championships.
  • Christian Collins, Notre Dame Football – As he has done all season long, Collins was the workhorse for the Tritons in his final game. In the WIAA Division 3 State Championship Game, Collins produced numbers on another level, rushing 39 times for 405 yards and five touchdowns: 25, 41, 65, 73 and 7 yards. Collins produced a monster season, becoming only the second rusher in Wisconsin history with over 3,000 yards in a season.
