Athlete of the Week Nominees, Week of November 29 – December 5
- Makenna Guden, Edgar Girls Basketball – Guden scored 21 points and had 9 steals as Edgar defeated Stratford, 52-41.
- Julia Redmond, Pittsville Girls Basketball – Redmond had 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists as Pittsville handled Granton, 48-25. She scored 20 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals in the Tigers’ loss to Rosholt. Redmond is averaging 14.5 points and 7 rebounds a game this season for Pittsville.
- Peyton Kuhn, Medford Boys Basketball – Kuhn reached the 1000 point plateau Friday evening as Medford opened the season with a 87-51 win. Kuhn poured in 33 points and is on pace to become the leading scorer in history by season’s end.
- Bella Opelt / Amelia Trunkel, Neillsville Girls Basketball – Opelt had 20 points and Trunkel added 18 as Neillsville opened the season with a 65-24 shellacking of Spencer.
- Jaden Koeller / Brock Warren / Matt Vande Boom, Marathon Boys Basketball – The trio combined for 49 points as Marathon began the season with a 69-42 rout of Wittenberg-Birnamwood.
