OnFocus Athlete of the Week, November 5 – November 11
- Klare Pilger, Stevens Point Girls Swimming – Pilger finished 5th in the 200 yard IM and 9th in the 100 backstroke at the WIAA Division 1 Girls State Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday. Pilger also was the anchor for the Panthers’ 400 freestyle relay team which finished 22nd.
- Mason Lane, Lodi Football – Lodi defeated Baldwin-Woodville 49-29 to advance to the Division 4 State Championship Game, and Lane had a big night to lead the charge. Lane complete 5 of 8 passes, including 70 and 72 yard touchdown passes, and rushed for a game-high 116 yards on 23 carries and three rushing touchdowns.
- Karis Francis / Abi Winnicki / Celia Francis, Rhinelander Girls Swimming – The trio collected a haul of medals Friday as Rhinelander ran away with the Division 2 Girls State Swimming and Diving Championship. Karis won the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke, Winnicki finished 3rd in the 200 freestyle and 2nd in the 100 freestyle, and Celia won the 200 IM and finished second in the 100 backstroke. Each member of the trio also were members of two winning relays each, accounting for four medals apiece.
- Olivia Schjoneman, Wausau East Girls Swimming – Schjoneman finished 13th in the 100 freestyle and was a member of two Lumberjack relays that competed at state: 14th in the 200 freestyle relay and 12th in the 400 freestyle relay.
- Easton Stone / Lucas Peters, Rice Lake Football – Rice Lake defeated Notre Dame 30-15 in the Division 3 State Semifinals, and it was Stone and Peters that came up big. Stone collected 7 tackles and assisted on 9 others, with Peters picking up 5 solo tackles and 7 assisted tackles. Peters also rushed for 95 yards and Stone added 37 yards rushing.
