OnFocus Athlete of the Week, October 1 – October 7
- Courtney Sommer, Columbus Catholic Volleyball – Sommer set the school record for aces, picking up 8 aces on Saturday. The Dons took third out of 16 teams at the La Crosse Invite, where Sommer collected 39 kills, 63 assists and 25 digs to go along with her 8 aces.
- Ava Frederiksen, Stevens Point Girls Golf – Frederiksen punched her ticket to the WIAA Girls Golf State Tournament
- Paige Guld, Newman Catholic Volleyball – Guld was key for the Cardinals in their win over Amherst last week on senior night, 25-12, 23-25, 25-22, 25-13. The game was Pink Night also, and Guld’s 1000th assist was celebrated to cap off the night. Guld is now approaching 1400 assists for her career at Newman.
- Lydia Harting, Prentice Volleyball – Harting achieved a rare volleyball career milestone on Tuesday, as Prentice came back to Defeat Abbotsford in Marawood Conference Volleyball, 16-25, 25-23, 25-11, 25-22. Harting collected her 2000th assist in front of family and Buccaneer fans who came prepared to celebrate the anticipated achievement.
- Abbey Gust/Teagann Bondioli, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Girls Tennis – Gust and Bondioli made it to state, qualifying for the Red Raiders in Doubles. The duo(21-4) open their state Tourney trip on Thursday against #9 seeded Bryn Gonzalez and Elena Kemp of Whitefish Bay(13-8)
