OnFocus Cadott Hornets Baseball Season Preview

What are some of the top returning letterwinners from a year ago (please include post-season honors,
stats, etc. as well was expected roles for this season)?

Here is the list of players returning all have a varsity letter and Warren Bowe was first team all
conference as a freshman. I will email you last years stats to pick through. Being this is my first year
and getting to know all the players, itbasically a clean slate as I expect all players Freshman on up
to step up and get better every day.

Tristan Drier-Senior
Ashton Bremness-JR
Braden Denzine-JR
Brandon Sikora-JR
Ayden Wilkie-JR
Conner Roth-JR
Nolan Nordrum-JR
Axel Tegels-JR
Henry Danielson-JR
Warren Bowe-SO
Ruger Drehmel-SO

What new athletes are expected to make an impact on the team this season (please also include
attributes)?

Being this is my first year and trying to get to know them and find out what they offer to the team
itopen right now to who will be those players. After a few games maybe we will see what the new
players have to offer.

This years Freshman class who will compete with upper classman for playing time:

Michael Wellner
Carter Matherne
Aiden Rykal
Gabe Sikora

What some key losses from last year’s team?

Last year lost 2 players: Ryan Sonnentag and Ethan West. Both I were told were good guys to have in
the dugout as far as keeping the team loose and good guys in dugout for some teaching moments so
will need the returning players to take on those roles to help get team to where we want to be.
You can Pick through their stats as well if wanted to add that into the write-up.

How do you see your team doing this season?

With most of the team returning, we hopefully can clean up some of the things that cost them a few
wins last year and play competitive baseball every game. If we can do that, I can see getting more
wins then they did last year.

What are your thoughts on the conference race and how do you see your team fit into the picture?

Regis being the state champs should probably be the team to beat but as far as the rest of the
conference, I really dont know what everyone is returning. So, I hope to be in the thick of
conference race with a majority of the team returning.

Any other comments?

The team has put in some extra work this winter and is eager to get to work and improve from last  years record. If they continue to work hard together and stay positive, I can see this team showing a huge jump in improvement from last season. Being this is my first year I am relying heavily on the returning coaching staff to get me up to speed on what Im working with. Assistant coaches are Matt
Helminski, Sean Hurt, and Rich Nordrum.
