OnFocus Marshfield Tigers Girls Soccer Season Preview

  • Key returners this season: Letterwinners and Roster attached
  • Strengths of your team:  Team depth will be 1 strength as we are a deep team with 17 returning letterwinners.  Our 4 leading scorers return, Avery Weister at 21 points, Grace Taylor 19, Abby Ongna 16 and Presley Franklin at 14 pints return.
    • We have a nice rotation at all positions, and see many players who can score and distribute this season.
    • Newcomers include forward Taylor Kundinger(12th grade), midfielders Shiloh Smith(10th grade), Sonia Dissanayake(12),
Defense Ava Paape (11), Trinity Linzmeier(12) and Hannah Glass(11).  Keeper Gabby Niehaus(9)
  • Conference outlook: DCE is reigning chams and the team to beat with Wausau West and Rapids always strong.  I feel we will be right there in the mix with these 3 teams, but SPASH looks to have quite a bit of young talent this year as well.  Merrill and East will be right there and are no slouches.
Abby Ongna was 1st team WVC, Hayden Berger 2nd team, with Grace Taylor HM in 2022.
  • Coaching staff: Varsity assistants Jeff Molter & Kelly Ongna, Varsity head coach Steve Lindner.  JV coach Robbie Hall.
