OnFocus Mosinee Indians Softball Season Preview
- Key returners this season:
– Addy Strejc (pitcher, lead conference in rbi’s, pitching wins, second in hits)
– Amber Gonzalez (outfield, lead conference in runs, hits, 6th in batting average, 2nd in stolen bases, 5th in Rbi’s)
– Alanna Bembenek (3rd, lead conference in runs)
– Martina Miller, only senior on the team this year, looking to play 2nd base.
– Daisy Spink and Maggie Woller look to cover ground in the outfield with Gonzalez
– Tristan Wicklund returns after shoulder injury last season and wrist injury at the end of hockey season
- Strengths of your team:
– We have depth at a lot of different positions
– We also have speed on the bases and on the field
- Conference outlook:
– You just never know with softball in the Great Northern Conference. Any team has the potential to play a good game.
- Coaching staff:
– Kelly Remondini, returning for her third season as head coach. Previously coached under Todd Felch for 6 seasons
– Brenna Wenninger, returning for her third season as the varsity assistant, specializing in pitching.
