Team Strengths:

Girls:

This year’s girls team has maintained its numbers from the previous year which allows us to diversify our athletes. Their biggest strength is that they are willing to step out of their comfort zones to help out the team and in turn see what they themselves can achieve. So many of these young ladies have expressed great personal and team goals for the year and I can’t wait to see them unfold.

Boys:

Pittsvilles Boys Track & Field roster has seen some changes from last year. This year we have a big strength as a smaller school, that being our boys program has gained a substantial amount of athletes compared to previous years. This allows our athletes to focus on their specific areas and less on filling events. They are an amazing crew that pushes and helps each other. With the big numbers, I believe they will have a successful year.

Conference Outlook:

Girls:

The Pittsville Girls Track & Field team is hungrier than ever this year. They are  looking to secure a win at the conference meet for the third year in a row. The title will not come without its challenges, there are many amazing athletes on every side of our conference and in every aspect of this amazing sport. These are obstacles that these girls merely see as opportunities to push themselves in their respective areas and as a team. I am excited to see what efforts they can achieve in May at such a crucial part of the season.

Boys:

From a sheer numbers standpoint I feel that the Pittsville Boys Track program has an opportunity to chase after something that these boys have wanted for a few years now. This is to win our conference meet. Our team has always been in the top 3 for our conference meet but we never had the depth to take on the top dogs, until now. This team has the drive and determination to put up a fight for this win. As long as we stick to our system, push ourselves and our teammates. At the penultimate part of the season, before the tournament series, you will see a group with some amazing results.
