OnFocus Season Preview: Regis Ramblers Volleyball
Coaching staff: Liz Anderson, Head Coach, 2nd season as HC, 4th season at Regis High School
Key returners: Sydney Marx (Sr, OH) – 2nd Team Cloverbelt All Conference in 2023, Izzy Reichert (Jr, Setter), Lily Lewis (Jr, MB) – 2nd Team Cloverbelt All Conference in 2023, Ava Skwierczynski (Sr, Libero)
Key newcomers: We returned all starters from last year!
Conference outlook: Regis looks to battle for the top of the Cloverbelt West with rivals McDonnell and Fall Creek. Regis took down Fall Creek on 9/5 in a Quad match and will see the crickets again on 9/24 in their conference opener. In addition, the CW typically has a stronger showing than our Cloverbelt East conference teams, so an overall Cloverbelt Conference is a very attainable goal.
Keys to your success this season: Our key this season will be to continue to stay in our system of play through the entirety of matches. When the pieces are put together, there isn’t a more well rounded team (O/D) in D4 than what Regis brings to the table. Various offensive weapons, an intelligent and agile setter, and consistent scrappy defense is what makes Regis such an exciting team to watch in the 2024-25 season.
Coach’s comments: anything else you’d like to share? Our athletes continue to work tremendously hard both during the season and in the off-season to compete at the highest level there is for volleyball. I’m extremely proud of all the work they’ve put in to get to this point for our HS program and am excited to see the progress and growth continue.
