Conference outlook:
The Wisconsin Valley Conference is always very competitive. I see DCE and SPASH as the
two teams to beat however it seems like any given night in our conference a team can be
beat. The WVC is fortunate to have great programs and coaches. The competition is
always strong and every game is meaningful.
Keys to your success this season:
∙Defense: With several players new to their positions, defensive chemistry will be a focal
point. Expect to see steady improvement in communication, glove work, and situational
awareness as the season unfolds.
∙Offense: The team will rely on disciplined at-bats, smart small-ball strategies, and
aggressive base running to manufacture runs.
∙Pitching: A young pitching staff will be tasked with gaining confidence and consistency. The
emphasis will be on command, mixing pitches, and maintaining composure under pressure
