Conference outlook:
We have our goal set at another conference championship for Mosinee. Medford will be a team to beat, they’ve been a competitor for a while as well. Rhinelander could also sneak up on us if we’re not careful and prepared.
Keys to your success this season:
Biggest key to success this season is how we perform on the mound. Our senior pitcher Ethan Oatman is slowly getting back into the groove after his Tommy John Surgery. Senior Zachary Nechuta will therefore have an even bigger role and be a game changer for us when he’s throwing. We’ll also have a handful of first year varsity guys who will need to step in this year and produce both on the mound and at the plate.
Coach’s comments: anything else you’d like to share?
Our coaching staff this season is entirely new. I spent some years as a JV coach here so I am at least familiar with some of the boys. But it is still my first season as head coach, and my assistant, Coach Arendt, is new to the program. This change in coaches brings challenges of its own. We’ve worked a bunch this preseason on getting to know one another and building a strong sense of community.
