Conference outlook:

We expect to place first or second in conference with our biggest opponents being Assumption High School and Adams-Friendship High School.  Our conference outlook for the soccer season is highly competitive. We anticipate a strong challenge from both Adams-Friendship and Assumption. Adams-Friendship returns a solid core of experienced players, and they’ve demonstrated consistent improvement in recent seasons. Assumption’s tactical approach and their strong midfield presence make them a formidable opponent. We’re confident in our team’s abilities, but we recognize the need to be prepared for these key matchups. Our focus will be on maintaining our consistency and capitalizing on our strengths to secure a top position in the conference.

Keys to your success this season:

Playing simple, possession-style soccer is a huge key for us this season. We believe if we can control the ball, tempo, and midfield of our games that we will be able to find a lot of success.  We understand that this style of play requires discipline and patience, but we believe it will be highly effective in achieving our goals. We also expect that we will see a lot of goals from a lot of different players this year, which is much more difficult to defend when many players can score. Lastly, a large focus of our season is accountability. Our girls work together to hold themselves and each other accountable, teaching them a valuable life lesson. This teaches our players that their actions have consequences, both for themselves and for the team and it reinforces the importance of taking ownership of one’s role and fulfilling commitments. This level of accountability will foster trust, strengthen our team cohesion, and allow us to perform consistently at a high level.

Coach’s comments: anything else you’d like to share?

Something else we are really excited about is having an all-female team, coaching staff, and athletic trainer. I have never been a part of a team or program that has a woman-led staff. Female coaches serve as powerful role models, demonstrating that women can excel in leadership positions within sports. Additionally, we can provide valuable mentorship, sharing our own experiences and insights, which can be particularly relevant to young female athletes.
