OnFocus Spencer Rockets Baseball Season Preview

Top returning players

Reed Knecht SS/P – 1st team all conference last season. Led the team in most offensive categories, including avg, RBIs, runs scored, and steals.  Role will likely expand as a starting pitcher as well this season.
Sophomore- Madden Prybylski C/CF/P – 2nd team all conference last season. Lead off hitter for Rockets, led team in walks and tied for team lead in runs scored. Also lead the team in innings pitched and strike outs.
Senior – Kaiden Miller RF – 2nd team all conference last season. Hit in the middle of the lineup last year and will be hitting primarily in the cleanup position again this year. Led the team in extra base hits and tied for team lead in RBIs.
Senior – Luke Roehrborn CF – Honorable Mention all conference last season. Luke won the team’s defensive player of the year award last year. He will counter on to anchor the outfield defense this year again, and will be batting in the middle of the order and counted on to drive in runs this year.
Senior – Andrew Sieracki 3B/P – Honorable mention all conference last season. Andrew will bat in the middle of the order this year and will counted on to be a major run producer. Andrew will also be one of the main starting pitchers for the Rockets this year as well.
  • Strengths of your team:

The Rockets strength will likely be their bats and defense. The Rockets return all 7 of their top hitters from last season. Hopefully with most of the lineup returning we will improve our contact percentage and increase our runs per game from last year.  All of our primary defensive players return as well, this should provide quality defense behind our pitchers. Hopefully this provides our pitchers to throw strikes and trust the defense behind them.

Conference outlook:

Teams goal is to finish in top 2.
