How do you see your team doing this season?
With 32 boys out this season, we will improve over last year’s 3rd place finish at Conference. The
goal is to win the Conference meet for the boys. We should be competitive at regionals and sectionals
and advance several athletes to the State Meet at La Crosse. That being said, Fall Creek looks once
again to be the contenders for the conference title. They have a large number of returning letter
winners and a lot of depth. We are stronger this year and building on our potential and skills, we are
looking to be competitive for the title. We have good speed, more depth in the distance events, and
should have strong place finishers in the field events.
Our girls team is very young. We only have 5 senior athletes and most of the team is made up of
Sophomores and Juniors. Our young athletes look to be the base for our sprints. We will contribute at
every level but lack the numbers needed to fill our relays. We have to improve throughout the season
and there is potential in our athletes but it’s too early in the season to gauge how much the younger
athletes will contribute. In the events we can fill, we will strive to challenge for conference
recognition.
What are your thoughts on the conference race and how do you see your team fit into the picture?
Both the Boys and Girls Teams placed 3rd last year

Boys: challenge Fall Creek for the conference title.
Girls: position ourselves to be among the top teams in the Western Cloverbelt
Do you have any athletes on your team that you feel would make for a good feature story? Why?
Boys: Zach Boes made it to State as a sophomore. We have expectations of him medaling at state.
Simon Polman. He is a foreign exchange student from the Netherlands. Currently, he is our
fastest sprinter. “ We look to be a fast team again this year, in part, thanks to
our Dutch connection!”
Girls: Teagen Becker is our best pick for advancing to State in the High Jump. Last year her best
was 5’2” She is one of the best high jumpers in the Conference (last year’s champion) but
came up short at the Sectional meet. It’s her goal to make it to State this year.
Any other comments? We have six dedicated coaches working to help our kids perform at their best
