OnFocus Team of the Week, April 2 to April 8
- Stevens Point Baseball – The Panthers opened the season with a pair of nonconference wins at DeForest. SPASH edged DeForest 2-1 and then downed Madison East 4-2.
- Marshfield Girls Track – The Tigers put on a show at the WIAA State Indoor Track and Field Championships at UW-Whitewater, finishing 20th overall. Top ten finishes were collected by Dani Minsaas(4th) in the high jump, Aubri Brown(7th) shot put, Michaela Dick(7th) 400 M Dash, and the 4X200 M Relay (Ellie Jensen, Alyssa Foemmel, Dani Minsaas, Gracie Ridgway-alternates Emma Ridgway & Olivia Page) finished 10th overall with our team’s season best time of 1:51.35.
- Auburndale Baseball – The Eagles kicked off the 2023 season with a resounding 19-3 win over Spencer.
- Pittsville Baseball – With the game tied at 1 in the bottom of the ninth and one out, Pittsville scored on a fielder’s choice when Brad Neve beat the double play throw to first, giving Pittsville a 2-1 walkoff win in the Panthers’ season opener.
- Stratford Softball – The Tigers opened Marawood Conference play with a 13-8 win over Athens, a game in which the teams combined for 23 hits.
