OnFocus Team of the Week, August 13 – August 19
- Auburndale Football (nominated online) – Auburndale roared out of the gate with a resounding 63-0 win over Milwaukee Hamilton to open the season.
- Wausau East Football – The Lumberjacks picked up their first win since September 6, 2019, and a program that struggled with multiple lost seasons due to forfeits returned to the winning side of the ledger with a 23-7 win over Lakeland.
- Stanley-Boyd Football – The Orioles outscored Cadott 44-28 in the teams’ season opener.
- Nekoosa Football – The Papermakers came out firing on all cylinders, picking up a 40-18 win over Ripon to start the season.
- Lakeland Girls Tennis (nominated online) – The Thunderbirds opened the 2023 season with a 7-0 shutout of Merrill.
