- Medford Boys Basketball – Medford surprised most with a 71-63 toppling of previous conference leader Rhinelander 71-63 and pulled into a first place with the Hodags. After a 3-5 start to the season, the Raiders are 7-6 overall.
- Auburndale Boys Basketball – The Eagles claimed a huge win in the Marawood South, defeating frontrunner Stratford 50-46 to move into a first place tie with the Tigers.
- Wausau Cyclones – The Cyclones and dog fans everywhere celebrated with the success of the 2nd annual Corgi Races, won for the second year in a row by Mika, in a field of 30 racers. The Humane Society of Marathon County receives the event’s proceeds.
- Pacelli Girls Basketball (nominated online) – The Cardinals are alone at the top of the CWC South Standings at 6-0, sporting an overall record of 13-2.
- Tigerton Boys Basketball – Tigerton is alone in first place in the CWC North with a 5-0 record. Tigerton has rolled off ten wins in a row, standing at 11-1 overall.
