OnFocus Team of the Week Nominees, January 31 – February 6
- D.C. Everest Boys Swimming – The Evergreens came up big at the WIAA State Swim Meet on Saturday. The DCE 200 yard relay and 400 yard relay teams each took 7th at state, and top individual performances were turned in by David Mayer(200 freestyle) and Ben Halambeck(100 breaststroke, 200 IM.)
- SPASH Boys Hockey – The Panthers kicked off the WIAA Boys Hockey Playoffs with a convincing 4-1 win over Wausau West. The Panthers advance to the sectional semifinals on Tuesday evening, where they will go on the road to face #2 seed Chippewa Falls.
- Wausau West Girls Basketball – The Warriors claimed the Wisconsin Valley Conference title with a 74-63 win over Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln on Friday. Wausau West finished the regular season with an 11-0 conference record, 15-1 overall.
- Marshfield Wrestling – The Tigers took first at WIAA individual sectionals, held at Wausau East. By virtue of their first place finish, picking up 111 points, Marshfield earned a berth at team sectionals on February 20.
- Mosinee Girls Basketball – Mosinee won the Great Northern Conference title with a 9-1 conference record, 16-6 overall. Mosinee has won 6 games in a row and is poised to make a big run in the playoffs.
