Marshfield – Central Wisconsin is filled with teams who are excelling and standing out above the rest.

Team of the Week Nominees,
- Amherst Football – After trailing 8-0 in the first quarter, the Falcons came back with 25 unanswered points and picked up a 32-22 win over top-ranked Lake Country Lutheran, a matchup made after each team saw their Level 1 Playoff opponents forfeit due to COVID-19 issues.
- Stratford Football – The Tigers returned to action after being out of action due to COVID-19 quarantine matters, and they came back with a vengeance. The Tigers handled Neillsville/Granton 38-0 in their Level 1 matchup.
- Edgar Football – The Wildcats took down Pacelli in Level 1, shutting out Pacelli 41-0. The Wildcats advance to play fellow perennial power Iola-Scandinavia in Level 2.
- Greenwood Football – Greenwood dominated Three Lakes in their 8 Man Football Level 1 matchup, 60-12. The Indians dominated in the running game, rushing 45 times for 357 yards, almost 8 yards a carry, and had 6 rushing touchdowns.
- Athletic Directors – Yes, it’s a bit unusual for athletic directors to be part of our team of the week poll, but athletic directors have been challenged this year like never before. This week, athletic directors at schools throughout central Wisconsin were scrambling to find opponents for football after teams had to forfeit. No fewer than 10 area schools saw their AD’s trying to arrange new games, some as late as midday on Friday.
