OnFocus – Since 1993, the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child ministry has provided more than 178 million children in over 160 countries with a shoebox full of much-needed items and toys during the Christmas season. In 2020, Samaritan’s Purse plans to collect enough shoebox gifts to reach an additional 11 million children.
“We are working to pack OCC shoeboxes to provide God’s love in a tangible way to American children who have suffered loss and trauma this year, children on thousands of islands, and kids around the world,” said Laura Johnson, Community and Church Relations Volunteer for OCC.
This year, those wishing to support the ministry have a few different options.
“You can go online to see ideas on what to pack, you can build a box online for $25, or you can give monetarily,” said Johnson.
