MARSHFIELD – Oshkosh North captured the title at the Marshfield Tigers Girls Basketball Holiday Invitational with a convincing 63-22 victory over Marshfield on Friday afternoon at the Marshfield High School Fieldhouse.
North dominated from the start, running out to a 28-7 lead by halftime and put the game away by outscoring the Tigers by 20 in the second half.
Marshfield made just seven of 30 shots from the floor and committed 36 turnovers as the Spartans caused havoc all over the court.
Jenna Jakobi had six points to lead the Tigers, who have lost four games in a row and fall to 3-8 this season.
North finished the tournament 2-0 after defeating Wausau West on Thursday.
Elle Lieder led the Spartans with 20 points and 10 rebounds, including four 3-pointers.
Marshfield returns to action Friday, Jan. 4, at home against Wausau East.
