Pancakes or Waffles? Marathon Student-Athlete Mike Hahn Answers the Tough Questions

Marathon’s Mike Hahn has been a difference maker throughout his high school career, and has accumulated multiple all-conference selections as a Red Raider. Hahn has stood out on the football field, being named All-Region this season.

We caught up with Hahn for our world-famous interview, ‘Pancakes or Waffles?’ and learn more about Hahn on and off the field of competition.

OnFocus: What classes are you taking this year?

 Hahn: Accounting, College English, AP Calculus, Personal Finance, Sports & Entertainment Management and Economics.

OnFocus: What is your favorite class?

 Hahn: Sports & Entertainment Management.

OnFocus: What are your hobbies?

 Hahn: I play video games, run a digital marketing company, and play sports.

OnFocus: Who is/was your favorite teacher?

 Hahn: My favorite teacher is Mr. Warren.

OnFocus: What is the most unusual food you have eaten?

 Hahn: Calamari.

OnFocus: What is your favorite music to listen to?

 Hahn:  HipHop.

OnFocus: What are your plans after high school?

 Hahn: Attend UW Madison pursuing an accounting degree.

OnFocus: What sports do you play?

Hahn: Football, Basketball, and Baseball.

OnFocus: Which teammate would you not want to be stranded with on a deserted island?

Hahn:  Jaden Koeller.

OnFocus: What is your most memorable moment as an athlete?

Hahn: Getting a walk-off hit in a baseball game last year.

OnFocus: Who is your favorite athlete?

Hahn: JJ Watt.

OnFocus: What do you enjoy most about playing home games?

Hahn:  The environment that our fans and student section bring.

OnFocus: What’s the best thing about being a student-athlete at Marathon?

Hahn:  The best thing about being a student athlete is being able to play the sport I love with some of my best friends.

OnFocus: What words of wisdom can you give to other student-athletes?

Hahn: Play every game and practice every practice like it’s your last.

OnFocus: Lastly, pancakes or waffles?

Hahn: Waffles.
