TOWNSHIP OF AUBURNDALE, WI (OnFocus) – On December 13, 2024, at approximately 5:40 p.m., the Wood County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle accident on US Highway 10 at County Highway P in the Township of Auburndale.
According to the initial investigation, a passenger car with two occupants was traveling north across US Highway 10 when it failed to stop at a stop sign. The car was struck by an SUV traveling westbound on US Highway 10.
Both drivers were transported to Marshfield Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the car was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation. Agencies assisting the Wood County Sheriff’s Department included the Wisconsin State Patrol, Auburndale Fire and Rescue, Wood County Highway Department, Dave’s Service Center, Tom-Lin and Son, and Marshfield Fire and Rescue.
