MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Paws and Play Dog Park helps dogs and people of all kinds get out and enjoy area and activities that people who live in the city might not be able to enjoy.
Now, they are looking for some help of their own. On Saturday, Oct. 16 at 9:30 a.m., the park will be installing its seasonal snow fence and is looking for volunteers to help put up the fence.
The park explained that it relies on community support to stay open in a Facebook post.
“We are in desperate need of volunteers,” the park said. “If we want the park to remain open, we need your help as a community to help keep things running smoothly.”
The park installs the fence to help keep the fence that borders the Peach Ave. sidewalk from drifting up too high and allowing dogs to jump over the fence. The fence also helps keep the sidewalk from getting covered with snow and keeps snow from traveling onto Peach Ave.
The fence also helps to keep dog feces from being deposited all over the park grounds making it easier for spring clean-up.
The team will also be electing a new President and discussing various matters related to the park tomorrow morning.
If you are looking for a fulfilling way to spend a Saturday morning, need community service hours for a boy scout or 4-H club, or anything else of that nature, head over to Paws and Play Dog Park at 2100 S. Peach Ave, Marshfield, WI 54449 Saturday morning.
